In-Person Events - Go or No?

Are In-Person Events Worth Attending for Entrepreneurs?

As a gym owner, there is a never-ending supply of companies, events, courses, and gurus lining up to show you how to run a business. One of the most commonly advertised ways to improve your business is by attending in-person conferences, seminars, and workshops. But how much can you really learn in a few days? Are their often high prices worth it? What should you look out for when selecting an event? We’re breaking it all down here so you can make the right choice for your gym.

Here are the top things to consider when choosing to attend an In-Person Event…

1. Who is the event hosted by?

Always do your research and make sure the person or company holding the event has the authority to cover the subject matter presented. Do they have testimonials, results, established credibility in their industry, etc?

Have they held events in the past? Check out reviews, and hear what other attendees had to say about the event.

2. What subject matter is going to be covered?

Look for events that offer real concrete solutions and methods. Don’t waste your time with motivational fluff when you need business solutions. So many events are a cash grab promising you’ll come away a better business owner, but they turn out to be what we call “hype” events. (Speakers cover vague topics that make you feel empowered at the moment, but when you return home you’re empty-handed, wondering how to implement your temporary burst of motivation.)

3. Will you get a return on investment?

After taking into account travel costs, and who on your team will attend, consider the return you will get if you receive what’s promised. If your main business constraint is not covered by the event, or you have to travel far/bring multiple team members, it may not be worth it.

Again, consider if there’s evidence your business will actually grow as a result of attending the event, or if you’ll just be a member in the crowd of a few motivational speeches.

What Sets Gym Launch Events Apart…

Now that you’re armed with when and why to attend an event, check out what in-person events Gym Launch offers specifically tailored to growing gyms.

1. Gym Growth Workshop

This event is the first of its kind. We’ve never offered an exclusive hands-on coaching workshop to the public. What was once reserved for clients only, is coming to Vegas for 100 accepted Gym Owners.

What’s missing from most in-person events is collaboration, networking, and hands-on learning. Very few learn best from sitting in a room and watching a screen/stage. The Gym Growth Workshop is two days packed full of round tables, Q&A opportunities, and seminars that combine a decade's experience in growing gyms. Learn how to flood your gym with leads, close more sales, and keep your members 3x longer.

Taking place in partnership with Olympia Weekend, October 8th and 9th, this event will give you an added opportunity to network with hundreds of entrepreneurs in this fitness industry.

3. Inner Circle Live

This is our most exclusive event reserved ONLY for Gym Launch Inner Circle clients. Attendees receive a personal deep dive into each of their businesses and walk away with actionable next steps to improve their gym.

For the first time, we’re offering a version to the public…Check it out here: http://gymlaunch.com/gymgrowth

BEFORE YOU GO…
